Mothers are incredible persons. They selflessly love their children taking care that there are at all times neat clothes to be dressed in, a tasty meal on the table, and plenty of love all around. They repeatedly put their children ahead of themselves mostly expecting only a quick hug or a smile in return. That’s why celebrations honoring mums have been held since the times of the ancient Greeks, and almost certainly even before. The first official Mother’s Day in the US was on May 9, 1914 when President Woodrow Wilson announced the 2nd Sunday in May to be National Mothers Day, a day when mums throughout the country would be acknowledged for all they do.

Hide the flowers around the home and give Mother some clues to take her to every one. Make the last find a vase to place all the flowers in and a message letting her know what a treasure she is.

Breakfast in bed is a current Mothers Day custom. Place a pretty vase of her favorite flowers on the tray.
